Lake Updates

Swinging Bridge Update
In anticipation of the FERC project license renewal, EC Mongaup began issuing shoreline permits for structures like piers, docks, ramps and retaining walls on or adjacent to Swinging Bridge Reservoir. We are pleased to announce that over 90% of adjacent property owners have responded and are compliant with shoreline permitting regulations. The annual renewal of the shoreline permits was emailed out on May 19, 2025. The $100 invoice offers payment options such as credit card, debit card, and ACH payments. The permit term is May 1, 2025, through April 30, 2026. If you did not receive the email, please contact Rebecca Vicaretti Serrano.

EC Mongaup has started reaching out via phone and email to those who haven’t responded to the previous mailings. All shoreline structures such as recreational piers, docks, ramps, and any other shoreline structures on or adjacent to Swinging Bridge Reservoir will be inspected this summer to ensure continued compliance with FERC regulations.

The private recreational facility application and use and occupancy guidelines can always be accessed online at:

The shorelines of Toronto and Swinging Bridge reservoirs are part of the project and are owned by Eagle Creek. Private docks and other structures on the shorelines require a permit from Eagle Creek.
